Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information PolicyLifeline ("we," "us," "our") — a life insurance lead-generation and advisory website operated by Alexander Castelazo, a licensed independent life insurance agent (AL license #[INSERT]) — collects from visitors, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using this site or submitting a form, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are and who we are not

PolicyLifeline is an independent insurance agency website. We are not an insurance company, not a government agency or program, and not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any insurer whose policy you may currently hold. We are licensed to transact life insurance business in Alabama, and this site is intended for Alabama residents.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you give us. When you complete a form, we collect your first name, phone number, ZIP code, and your preferred time to be contacted. During a call you may voluntarily tell us additional information, such as your current premium, death benefit, date of birth, general health information, tobacco use, and beneficiary details, so that we can prepare an accurate comparison.
  • Information collected automatically. When you visit, we and our analytics/advertising providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time on page.
  • Campaign and click information. We record marketing parameters attached to the link you arrived on — including utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, fbclid, and gclid — plus the page URL, the referring site, and a timestamp, so we know which advertisement brought you here.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. We may use cookies, browser storage, and advertising pixels (including the Meta pixel and Google Tag Manager) to measure ad performance and to show ads to people who have visited this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and this site is not directed at children.

3. How we use your information

  • To contact you by phone, text message, and email about the free policy comparison you requested.
  • To prepare a side-by-side comparison of your existing coverage against products offered by the carriers we are appointed with.
  • To submit an application to a carrier on your behalf, if you ask us to.
  • To comply with insurance laws and recordkeeping requirements, including Alabama policy-replacement rules.
  • To measure and improve our advertising and this website.

4. Telephone and text consent (TCPA)

By submitting a form on this site and checking the consent box, you give your prior express written consent for PolicyLifeline and Alexander Castelazo to contact you at the telephone number you provided — including a wireless number — by live agent call, prerecorded or artificial voice message, automatic telephone dialing system, text message, and email, regarding your request for a life insurance policy comparison and related insurance products.

Your consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services, and you do not have to consent in order to obtain insurance from us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may revoke your consent at any time using any reasonable method, including the opt-out methods described below.

We record and retain the date, time, page URL, IP address, and exact consent language shown to you at the moment you submitted the form as our record of consent.

5. SMS opt-out and calling opt-out

  • Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop all further texts. Reply HELP for help.
  • Phone calls: tell us on any call that you want to be placed on our internal Do Not Call list, or email us at the address below. We will honor the request and maintain it for at least five years.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us directly.

We honor the National Do Not Call Registry except where you have given us the express written consent described in Section 4.

6. Who we share your information with

  • Insurance carriers and their underwriters. If you ask us to quote or apply, we share the information needed to obtain a quote or process an application with the A-rated carriers we are appointed with.
  • Service providers. Our customer relationship management (CRM) system, form/webhook processor, telephone and text messaging providers, email provider, website host, and analytics providers, all of whom process data on our behalf.
  • Advertising platforms. Aggregated or hashed conversion data may be shared with Meta and Google to measure ad performance. This may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws — see Section 8.
  • Legal and regulatory. Where required by law, subpoena, state insurance regulators, or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not resell your contact details to unaffiliated lead buyers or lead aggregators.

7. How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep lead and client records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet insurance, tax, and TCPA recordkeeping obligations — generally at least five years — and then delete or de-identify them. We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transmission of form submissions and access-controlled systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights, including Do Not Sell or Share

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it.
  • Receive a copy of that information in a portable format.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information we hold, subject to legal and regulatory retention requirements.
  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and limit the use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, including a Do Not Sell or Share request: email privacy@policylifeline.com with the subject line "Privacy Request," or call [INSERT]. Tell us which right you are exercising and give us the phone number you submitted so we can find your record. We will verify your identity by matching the information you provide against our records, and we will respond within 45 days. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written permission.

You may also opt out of interest-based advertising directly in your Meta and Google ad settings, and you may enable a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser, which we honor as an opt-out of sharing where required.

9. Third-party links

This site may link to carrier sites, scheduling tools, or other third-party services. Their privacy practices are their own, and we are not responsible for them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page.
